DriverReviews launch inaugural Customer Choice Awards rated by real drivers
DriverReviews today launches the first annual DriverReviews Customer Choice Awards, chosen from the opinion of everyday drivers – real motorists leaving genuine feedback about their tyres.
With over 240,000 reviews covering more than 150 million miles on the road, DriverReviews have collated the views and experiences from drivers over the past 12 months to present honours across 9 categories.
“For many shoppers, the tyre buying experience is not a simple one, it is a complicated purchase and that is why DriverReviews partner with multiple tyre retailers and tyre manufacturers to generate 100% authentic tyre reviews to help consumers make an informed choice on their new tyre purchase” commented Adam Butcher, Head of Product at DriverReviews.
The categories cover some of the most popular vehicle segments in the UK, with awards covering Family Car; Large Family Car; Medium & Large SUVs; Small SUVs; City Car; Hot Hatches; High Performance Cars; All Season; and All Season SUV. Each category consists of a ‘winner’ and a ‘highly recommended’ award and in some categories the ratings were so close that a ‘commended’ award has also been given. With these honours, DriverReviews aims to provide consumers with an unbiased and authentic offering in each segment, drawn upon from real-world reviews.
DriverReviews has awarded accolades across a number of tyre brands, including the Bridgestone Potenza S001 as the winner of Best Tyres for a Family Car, Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 is a winner in the City Car category, and the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S as the winner in the High Performance car category. The Michelin CrossClimate family dominated as winners in the All Season and All Season SUV categories with the CrossClimate 2 and CrossClimate SUV taking pole position respectively.
“We are incredibly excited to launch the first DriverReviews Customer Choice Awards and share the experiences of real-world drivers” continued Butcher. “With consumers taking to the internet to research products before purchase more than ever, DriverReviews is well placed to deliver an impartial and honest platform, allowing motorists to hear from other drivers who are already using the products. We look forward to working with consumers to collect more reviews over the coming months and years to grow our feedback to provide even more confidence for potential consumers in the future”.
